It is the escape of blood out of the vessels.
The rapid loss of more than 30 -40% of the blood (1.5 liters -2) leads to death.
Types of Bleeding:

External bleeding: outside the body

Internal bleeding: between body tissues.
Types of External Bleeding:

Arterial bleeding: flow out of the arteries, rapid and characterized with lighter color.

Venous bleeding: flow out of the veins, steady and characterized with dark color.

Capillary bleeding: flow out of the blood capillaries and does not constitute a threat.
First aid for External Bleeding:

Press direct on the wound using sterile bandage; if the bleeding does not stop, add a pressure by your hand.

Raise the injured organ to help stop the bleeding with direct pressure.

Use pressure points if the direct pressure fails to stop severe bleeding from the arm or leg:
Pressure points are those where the artery is close to the surface and is near the bone where it can be squeezed.
The mostly big points used are the Brachial point in the arm, and the hip point in the hip. These two points are used if direct pressure fails to stop bleeding.
Torinkep Bandage:
It is used in emergencies when other methods fail to stop bleeding from the injured organ. It may cause damage to blood vessels, may lead to amputation of the arm if left without care for several hours; therefore use it only as a last resort to stop the bleeding risky to life and which can not be stopped by any other means.
Nosebleed:
it is the flow of blood from the nose. Occurs at all ages, and has many causes, such as high blood pressure; nosebleed may occur spontaneously in children.
Types of Nosebleed:
1 – Bruise Nosebleed: occurs in the front section of the nose barrier that is vulnerable to hemorrhage, and prone to drought caused by the air; it is often famous in young people and children constituting 90% of the causes of bleeding.
First aid for Nosebleed:

Calm the patient, place him on the seat with the head lifted up.

Press on the bottom of the nose.

Put a piece of gauze soaked with iced water in the nostril and press for ten minutes.
2 – Natural Nosebleed: it is natural bleeding owing to rigid rupture of blood vessels due to high blood pressure. Natural nosebleeding tends to occur in the elderly persons.
3 - Bruise Nosebleed: occurs in the presence of some diseases, such as fever and blood diseases.
