The kingdom – represented by the Border Guard, in cooperation with the International Maritime Organization "IMO" – will host a workshop on the implementation of the Jeddah Amendments to the Code of Conduct 2017 – addressing the maritime security challenges through regional cooperation – at the Mohammed bin Naif Academy for Science and Maritime Security Studies in Jeddah.

The three-day workshop is attended by representatives from several international bodies including the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the European Union, the Earth Organization, Cardiff University, the United Nations Office on Narcotic Drugs, the International Police, the International Red Cross and the Maritime Security Center for the Horn of Africa, and observers from the U.S., U.K. and Denmark.
