The Northern Border province is located on the north of the Kingdom on the Saudi-Iraqi border, bordering Iraq from the north. Its capital is Ar'ar city.
The region covers about 127,000 km² of area with a population estimated to 300000 peoples. The region embraces lots of valleys and plains and hills.
Ar'ar city is characterised with its strategic location on the international road linking the GCC countries, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
Province Emirate
The province governorate was established after the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is linked to the Interior Ministry, and its capital is 'Ar'ar city.
