Al-Jouf province is located in the north of the country, bordering Jordan. The province covers about 100,212 kmĀ² of area, and the population is 508.475. Its capital is Sakakah. The province includes three governorates: Al-Qurayyat, Dumat-al-Jandal and Tabarjal.
Province Emirate
The emirate of Al-Jouf was established in 1345 H, after the unification of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is linked to the Interior Ministry. The current governor is H.R.H. Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
