Jazan is one of the administrative regions of Saudi Arabia, located in the farthest southwest of Saudi Arabia with its headquarters in Jazan city.
Jazan region is located on the farthest southwest of Saudi Arabia, denominated by longitudes 42°43 E and latitudes 16°17 N. It borders Aseer region from the north and east, the Red Sea from the west 330 kilometers along the seacoast, and the Republic of Yemen from the south and southeast.
The total area of the region is estimated to 40,457 km² in addition to around 80 islands on the Red Sea, of which the famous is Farasan, covering around 752 km². The province is considered the smallest in the Kingdom after Al-Baha.
Province Emirate
The Emirate was established in 1351 H., after the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it is linked to the Interior Ministry. Its capital is Jazan city.
