The Premises Security Forces Command (PSFC) exercises different tasks to provide security and protection to vital installations, including:
- Provide security and protection for petroleum, industrial and vital plants from outside each facility, and ensure the efficiency of security inside it.
- Perform security screening through checkpoints for both machineries and people to ensure the situation of security in general.
- Carry out security checks to ensure the level of industrial security performance inside the facility.
- Participate in the preparation of security plans for the facility.
- Follow-up the implementation of instructions, regulations and decisions issued by the higher authorities in respect of the security of the petroleum, industrial and vital installations.
- Deal with incidents that occur in the facilities, conduct initial investigation or send them to the competent authorities according to the directives organizing this issue.
- Oversee the arming of the industrial security men, ensure their training on firearms, electric sticks, and track the status of weapons in all locations.
- Analyze security risks around the facilities and prepare the necessary plans to avoid them, and conduct several exercises to ensure the effectiveness of such plans in coordination with the relevant authorities.
- Prepare and train the employees of the sector through internal and external specialized courses and visits to exhibitions.
- Collect information and make statistics relating to the sector’s work.
